Design of Huawei Y6s 2019
I cannot help reminiscing Google Pixel smartphones from 2018 each time I look at Huawei Y6s 2019 which has obviously borrowed its design inspiration from. I am taking about that two tone on the back panel of this phone. It features a glossy top and matte material at the bottom. The advantage of the former is that it gives this phone a firm grip unlike the one on most smartphones these days which make them slippery. Another observation about the design of Huawei Y6s 2019’s design is that it has Dew-Drop notch and rather thick (especially the bottom one) bezels. The phone measures 156.3 x 73.5 and at 8 mm it is rather think for not apparent reason. Its 150 grams weights is as it is thank to its plastic frames and back panel. Really what stands out the most about this phone is its design. Other features follow below.
Huawei Y6s 2019 Camera
To see a single primary lens on a phone in 2020 speaks even greater volumes in affirming that this phone brings down the looks of Pixel 3 to itself. There is a single 13 MP, f/1.8, PDAF main camera lens and a 8 MP, f/2.0 selfie shooter in that Dew-Drop notch. What I haven’t said about the cameras of this phone is that they match the performance of Pixel 3’s; no, nothing of that sort. But they do perform rather fine especially in well light scenes. I grant you the cameras here will suffer a fair deal in night photography. It is no wonder it comes with LED flash on both the main and front facing cameras. It is also nice to see that video recording quality is 1080p@30fps for both lenses. Generally, the performance rating here is 6.6 out of 10.
